Am I Using The Right Calibration Gas?
Q: Am I Using The Right Calibration Gas?
A: Determining the proper Calibration Gas and concentration for a specific application can often be confusing. Many gas detection manufacturers have different requirements and/or recommendations for attaining the same results.
While some makers merely require recalibration of an LEL sensor from say, a factory standard of 50% LEL Methane, to 50% LEL Hexane, or even 50% LEL Propane. Other makers may require hardware or software related adjustments of sensor gain in addition to the use of a "Non-Standard" Calibration Gas.
If you already have the specific information required for "your" monitor...GREAT! If not, call us and we'll do our best to assess your needs.
